Marcus recalled that in July 2022, he paid for the services of Elon Musk's The Boring Company, which transports passengers through the Las Vegas Loop in Tesla electric cars via narrow tunnels, using $DOGE coins.
When people gained the ability to pay for rides with $DOGE, the Dogecoin project proved its practical utility, moving beyond just trading, Marcus pointed out. According to the developer, using Dogecoin to pay for a ride in the Las Vegas Loop underground tunnel outweighed all other crypto-related actions he had ever taken.

(tho that was not this weekend but still it was the most crypto thing xD)
Marcus's story came in response to a post by an anonymous user under the nickname ITrustCapital, who asked his followers to write about unusual actions they performed with cryptocurrency over the past weekend. Marcus clarified that his purchase did not happen on that particular weekend, but it remains his fondest memory associated with blockchain and cryptocurrencies to this day.
Previously, Marcus called the bearish trend in the crypto market too prolonged and boring.
this is what the crypto bear market always looks like

it’s not panic inducing
it’s just so boring
Over the past month, the cryptocurrency $DOGE has depreciated by 3%, to $0.07066, with a market capitalization of $12.07 billion. The daily trading volume of the memecoin increased by 1.69%, reaching $596.5 million.
The Dogecoin co-founder is known for his sharp remarks. In 2022, following the collapse of the Terra crypto platform, Billy Marcus called most cryptocurrencies junk where people bury billions of dollars. Later, he mocked Strategy Chairman Michael Saylor for his excessive enthusiasm regarding the first cryptocurrency and suggested he sell his children for bitcoins.
