Hot Interaction Collection | Robinhood Testnet Interaction; Earn Early Points on Canopy (February 27)

Hot Interaction Compilation: Robinhood Testnet Interaction; Canopy Early Points (February 27) Original by Odaily Planet Daily (@OdailyChina) Author: Asher (@Asher_0210) Robinhood Chain: An L2 focused on full-chain tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) On February 11, Robinhood announced the launch of the Robinhood Chain public testnet on Arbitrum. It will support tokenized real-world assets, including stocks, ETFs, private assets, and other financial instruments. The testnet allows developers to explore potential applications and prepare for the mainnet launch, promoting RWA tokenization and DeFi liquidity access. The chain will enable 24/7 trading, cross-chain bridging, and self-custody, supporting use cases like tokenized asset platforms, lending protocols, and perpetual exchanges. Interaction Tutorial: 1. Add the test network and claim test tokens. 2. Complete the testnet badge quest. 3. Mint NFTs on platforms like NFTs2Me to enrich interaction data (requires a small amount of ETH for gas fees). Canopy: An AI-powered L1 blockchain Canopy is currently in its testnet phase and has launched a points incentive program. In late January 2025, it announced a $1.2 million seed round led by Mechanism Capital and CitizenX, with participation from Primitive, GSR, and Side Door Ventures. Interaction Tutorial: 1. Visit the rewards page and connect your wallet and X account. 2. Complete four initial tasks and three daily tasks to earn points. 3. Fulfill additional requirements for more points. TBD: A Solana-based prediction market platform TBD focuses on poll-based prediction events and opened to users on February 25. On the same day, it announced a $3 million seed round co-led by CMT Digital and ParaFi. Interaction Tutorial: Currently, users can register via X or use TBD on Solana Seeker to receive up to $100 in risk-free betting credits.

Two Paths, One Destination

Coinbase and Robinhood, despite recent earnings misses, are undergoing significant transformations that diverge from simplistic narratives tied to crypto performance. Both are systematically diversifying their revenue streams to reduce cyclical dependency. Coinbase’s subscription and service revenue reached $2.8B in 2025, 5.5x its 2021 peak. It now holds 12% of global crypto assets and is expanding into derivatives (via the Deribit acquisition), prediction markets, and institutional services, partnering with major banks and asset managers like BlackRock. Its long-term goal is to become a foundational settlement layer for on-chain finance. Robinhood’s growth is highlighted by a 27% YoY increase in ARPU to $191, driven largely by its prediction markets—its fastest-growing product line, generating $300M in annualized revenue. Other key drivers include options trading and subscription services. The company is also expanding into banking and private market access through Robinhood Ventures, aiming to capture a share of generational wealth transfer. Though they started from opposite ends—Coinbase in crypto, Robinhood in traditional equities—both are converging toward the same vision: a financial super-app for retail users. They are now competing directly in emerging areas like prediction markets, tokenization, and private market access, with the goal of deepening user financial integration and becoming indispensable platforms.

Robinhood Ventures into L2, Focusing on RWA Tokenization

In late January 2026, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev highlighted that the GameStop short squeeze incident five years earlier could have been avoided with blockchain’s real-time settlement capabilities. Shortly after, Robinhood launched the testnet of Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum-based Layer 2 network focused on tokenizing real-world assets (RWA), including stocks, ETFs, and private assets. Built on Arbitrum Orbit, Robinhood Chain leverages Ethereum for data availability and uses ETH as its native gas token. The platform combines Ethereum’s security with custom compliance features, allowing Robinhood to enforce regulatory rules while maintaining interoperability with existing DeFi infrastructure. Prior to the testnet, Robinhood had already been testing tokenized stocks in Europe for eight months. These assets are structured as derivative contracts pegged to the price of underlying equities—not as direct ownership claims. The system supports features like dividend pass-through and on-chain minting/burning tied to user positions. Robinhood acquired necessary regulatory licenses, including MiCA and MiFID approvals, partly through its acquisition of Bitstamp. The platform aims to enable 24/7 trading, instant settlement, and global accessibility with low fees. However, challenges remain, including legal ambiguity around asset representation, centralization risks (with Robinhood Europe as the sole counterparty), and potential pushback from traditional institutions. Robinhood Chain represents a significant step in blurring the lines between traditional finance and crypto, though its balance between compliance and decentralization remains a key point of observation.
