文明能够扩展规模是因为人类能够进行隐性信任,而 AI 智能体则不能。

它们建立智能体社会的唯一途径是通过一个真相账本,也就是区块链。

货币总是第一个被记录在账本上的,因为它是需要维护的最简单真相形式:

  • 谁拥有什么

  • 谁支付给了谁。

这就是为什么像谷歌的 AP2 以及由 Coinbase 和以太坊基金会支持的 X402 原语这类首批 AI 标准,都是从支付开始的。


第一步是智能体需要一种交换价值的方式,但这仅仅是第一步。

人类依靠记忆、声誉和未言明的社交暗示来决定信任谁,但智能体没有这些,所以每一个行动都必须被验证,每一个声明都必须被证明。

像 ERC-8004 这样的标准开始勾勒出这是如何运作的:一个共享的注册表,智能体可以在其中锚定身份、声誉和验证。

这在链上的占用空间是最小的,但足以让机器发现彼此并知道它们在与谁打交道。

一旦有了这个,路线图就很清晰了:

  • 首先是支付,因为货币是最清晰的记录。

  • 其次是身份和声誉,这样智能体才能有信心相互交易。

  • 然后是协调和合约,从而实现智能体之间的市场运作和集体行动。

为什么是区块链,而不仅仅是任何分布式系统?

因为区块链是为对抗性环境设计的,在这种环境中:

  • 每条记录都是可验证的

  • 每次状态转换都是透明的

  • 共识的出现不需要参与者预先信任彼此。

数据库可以复制数据,许可系统可以共享日志,但这些都无法防止智能体撒谎、审查或重写历史。只有区块链提供了可信的中立性,没有任何单一参与者拥有账本的钥匙,没有人可以单方面进行编辑。

对我们人类来说,这种区别可能感觉微妙,因为我们在大多数互动中都带着隐性信任。但对智能体而言,这是生存攸关的,因为当一台机器与另一台机器交互时,它没有身体语言可读,没有声誉可凭直觉感知,没有可依靠的法院系统。它的全部信心来自于可验证性,而区块链正是为此而构建的:一个公开的、仅可追加的记忆库,身份可以在此锚定,信任可以由此建立。

智能体互联网将运行在可验证的真相之上,而货币仅仅是开场序幕。最终目标是建立一个智能体文明,它们通过区块链进行交流、信任和共享资源。

现在有了硬件,有了软件,现在是时候发展信任组件了。
