During the week of August 17-21, U.S.-registered spot bitcoin and ether ETFs attracted $2.61 billion, marking the best performance since October 2025. Of this amount, BTC funds received $1.92 billion, accounting for 73% of the total inflows. Ethereum ETFs recorded inflows of $697.47 million.
According to SoSoValue, on August 21, inflows into spot bitcoin ETFs amounted to $307 million, extending the positive streak to five trading sessions. The leader was BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which received $239 million or nearly 78% of the total daily trading volume. In second place was Fidelity's Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund (FBTC) with $30.19 million.
The net assets of all U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs total $96.07 billion, which is equivalent to 6.17% of the market value of the first cryptocurrency.
On August 21, ether funds received $185 million. Again, the iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) led with an inflow of $151 million. It was followed by Grayscale's Ethereum Mini Trust ETF with an inflow of $11.51 million, bringing the cumulative net inflow to $1.85 billion. The net assets of all U.S. spot ether funds amounted to $14.30 billion.
