Since its launch in September 2017, the Cardano blockchain has processed approximately 123.02 million transactions. In addition to the growth in transaction numbers, Cardano is experiencing high developer activity. Chainspect researchers recorded 303,143 commits in the network. These are recorded changes or updates to the protocol code that developers make to the repository. A large number of commits indicates active developer efforts to improve and develop the network.

For comparison: The Polkadot project significantly surpasses all blockchains in developer activity with over 701,000 commits. Over 520,000 have been recorded on Ethereum, while the Arbitrum and Optimism networks account for 200,000 and 182,000 commits respectively.
The total value locked (TVL) in the Cardano network over the last 24 hours increased by 6.05%, reaching $58.01 million. The trading volume of ecosystem tokens on decentralized exchanges over the past week grew by 22.42%, to $9.15 million, according to DeFiLlama.
Within a day, the price of the cryptocurrency $ADA increased by 13%, to $0.2139 — against the backdrop of overall crypto market growth. The current market capitalization of $ADA is $7.8 billion. The daily trading volume of the cryptocurrency increased by 52%, reaching $857.6 million.
Recently, Cardano developers published the timeline for the Dijkstra upgrade, which is set to roll out in two phases. First, they plan to deploy the Ouroboros Linear Leios (CIP-164) feature to increase network throughput, and then proceed with the Ouroboros Peras (CIP-140) update to accelerate transaction processing in the blockchain.
