VanEck, Managing Billions, Responds: 'Has Bitcoin's End of the Month Arrived?'
VanEck, an investment firm managing billions, suggests that Bitcoin may be nearing the end of its current downtrend. The analysis notes that Bitcoin's drop from a peak around $125,000 to $60,000 aligns with a traditional post-halving bearish phase. However, signs of selling exhaustion are emerging, and some indicators are turning positive.
VanEck's proprietary GEO model (assessing Global liquidity, Ecosystem leverage, and On-chain activity) shows two of its three signals at neutral levels, while the ecosystem leverage indicator presents a constructive outlook. The firm interprets these combined signals as pointing to the formation of a cyclical bottom, potentially providing a basis for investors to begin gradually accumulating Bitcoin.
Despite this, VanEck cautions that it cannot be definitively stated that Bitcoin has reached its lowest point. The current sharp decline is viewed as part of Bitcoin's typical four-year halving cycle pattern rather than a structural market failure. The firm concludes by noting that while market cycles are based on past behavior, there is no guarantee they will repeat identically in the future.
