When the 22-year-old man decided to withdraw funds from the investment "platform," the fraudsters began demanding additional money from him under various pretexts. They cited the need to pay commissions, close deals, and withhold interest.
In the end, the young man lost not only his own savings but also money borrowed from relatives. Police officers have initiated a criminal case for fraud and are attempting to identify those involved in the crime.
Previously, a resident of the city of Buy in the Kostroma Region of Russia fell victim to fraudsters who spent several months convincing him to invest money in cryptocurrency. The total damage exceeded 2.8 million rubles, accounting for currency conversion and commissions.
