Японская криптобиржа DMM Bitcoin будет ликвидирована после взлома на 320 млн долларов

GetBlock Magazine - Что произошло? Японская криптобиржа DMM Bitcoin решила оставить усилия по возобновлению операционной деятельности после хакерской атаки в мае и объявила о ликвидации. В результате взлома сервера и приватного ключа одного из кошельков компания потеряла 4500 биткоинов, которые на тот момент оценивались в 320 млн долларов. Тогда DMM остановила снятие средств, торговлю и открытие новых счетов.

Что еще известно? DMM сообщила клиентам, что закупит эквивалентную сумму в биткоинах для выплаты компенсаций. В этом бирже помогут компании группы японского конгломерата электронной коммерции DMM Group, членом которой она является.

DMM Bitcoin заключила соглашение, по которому депозиты клиентов в фиате и криптовалютах для дальнейшего распределения будут переведены на биржу SBI VC Trade в составе SBI Group ориентировочно в марте 2025 года.

В июле блокчейн-аналитик, известный под ником ZachXBT, сообщил, что около 35 млн долларов, украденных с DMM Bitcoin, были отмыты через маркетплейс Huione Guarantee. Тогда он предположил, что за взломом биржи стоит группировка хакеров Lazarus из КНДР, на что указывают схожие методы отмывания денег.

Убытки DMM стали вторыми по величине в стране после взлома криптобиржи Coincheck на 530 млн долларов в 2018 году.

В 2024 году участились взломы централизованных криптобирж (CEX). В сентябре сингапурская BingX была взломана на 52 млн долларов, в июле индийская WazirX потеряла 235 млн долларов, а эксплойт горячего кошелька турецкой BtcTurk в июне привел к убыткам на 55 млн долларов.

В настоящий момент возврат средств пользователям продолжает осуществлять биткоин-биржа Mt.Gox. Она была крупнейшей и одной из первых криптобирж, но в 2014 году прекратила работу из-за взлома. Выплаты пользователям начались только спустя 10 лет. В прошлом месяце она перевела 30 371 BTC на два новых адреса.

Также в ноябре суд принял решение о ликвидации корейской лендинговой платформы Delio, прекратившей работу в прошлом году в связи с арестом активов.

А в октябре бывшая топ-менеджер обанкротившейся криптобиржи FTX Кэролайн Эллисон согласилась передать новым управляющим практически все свои активы для выплаты компенсаций клиентам, ранее она признала вину в краже миллиардов долларов у пользователей.
