Uniswap's native token, $UNI, has reached a new record for daily burn volume. According to data, on August 21st (yesterday), approximately $590,000 worth of $UNI was burned. This figure represents the highest daily burn volume of $UNI ever recorded in dollar terms.
The largest portion of the burned cryptocurrency occurred on the Ethereum network. Approximately $267,000 worth of $UNI was removed from circulation on the Ethereum network, $165,000 on the Base network, and approximately $87,000 on the Robinhood Chain network. Including burns on other networks, the total daily value approached $590,000.
In terms of token quantity, approximately 150,000 $UNI were burned on August 21st. This is the second-highest daily token burn figure for $UNI recorded on that date.
Data shows that the $UNI burn mechanism has significantly accelerated recently, with its activity spreading across various networks.
