Leading South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges Upbit and Bithumb announced in a joint statement the delisting of Storj (STORJ), ThunderCore (TT), and JasmyCoin ($JASMY) tokens. The exchanges explained that the tokens are being removed from their platforms due to unresolved issues that previously led to their inclusion in trading caution lists.
According to the announcement, support for trading STORJ, TT, and $JASMY tokens will cease on September 14 at 09:00. After this date, users will no longer be able to trade these tokens. The exchanges emphasized that investors should complete all necessary transactions before the specified date to avoid potential losses.
Upbit and Bithumb periodically review the digital assets they list, evaluating criteria such as project development, trading volume, liquidity, community activity, transparency, and regulatory compliance. Projects that fail to meet these standards are first placed on watch lists or trading caution lists to warn investors. If the issues persist, a delisting decision may be made.
Meanwhile, Coinone, another major cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea, also made a new announcement regarding Storj (STORJ). Coinone announced an extension of the delisting review process for STORJ that had begun earlier. This means that a final decision on the token's future on the platform will be made at a later date.
Following these events, investors have begun closely monitoring the price dynamics and trading volumes of the affected tokens on exchanges. Delisting decisions by major exchanges in the cryptocurrency market typically exert downward pressure on prices in the short term.
Experts assert that investors should pay attention not only to price movements but also to statements regarding the projects' level of technical development, ecosystem size, and the regular review processes conducted by exchanges. It is believed that decisions made in the South Korean market can have significant implications for the global visibility of the respective projects.
