ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood stated that the widespread adoption of AI-based commerce could create significant opportunities for Bitcoin and stablecoins. Wood specifically noted that Bitcoin and stablecoins are two digital assets that could benefit the most from this new commerce model, known as "agent commerce," where AI agents handle shopping, payments, and financial transactions without human intervention.
In her latest assessment, Wood stated that Bitcoin's value is once again becoming more stable compared to gold. According to her, the increasing role of AI agents in economic activity could boost the need for fast and programmable payment methods. In this context, Bitcoin, and especially stablecoins, could stand out as digital financial tools suitable for global use.
The head of ARK Invest also analyzed the latest U.S. economic data. Wood noted that last week's employment figures were not as weak as expected, but stated that the risks in the inflation outlook have shifted. According to Wood, in current conditions, the risk of deflation may have become higher than the risk of inflation.
Wood also remarked that artificial intelligence technologies are becoming increasingly important for companies. She stated that companies that delay adopting AI tools that enhance productivity could face greater risks in the future and emphasized that investments in technology would be crucial from a competitiveness standpoint.
