Журнал сообщал, что бизнесмен дал показания на Джастина Сана (Justin Sun) по делу, в ходе которого два года назад американские власти обвинили главу Tron в незарегистрированном предложении ценных бумаг в виде токенов TRON и BitTorrent.

«Кажется, WSJ забыл, кто попал в тюрьму, а кто нет. Люди, которые помогают властям свидетельскими показаниями, не попадают в тюрьму. Они попадают под защиту», — объявил Чанпэн Чжао.

В свою очередь Джастин Сан заявил, что тоже ничего не знает о том, чтобы против него давал показания Чжао.

«Чжао — мой наставник и близкий друг. Он сыграл решающую роль, поддерживая меня на предпринимательском пути. По сей день его поведение и принципы остаются наивысшим стандартом, которому я стремлюсь следовать как основатель», — сообщил Сан.

Глава Tron заверил, что находится «в честной коммуникации» с Минюстом США, другими регуляторами и деловыми партнерами, которым «полностью доверяет».

Ранее Чанпэн Чжао был назначен стратегическим советником Совета Пакистана по криптовалютам (PCC). Бизнесмен должен помочь стране создать «инклюзивную криптоэкосистему», конкурентоспособную на мировом уровне.
