Тикер LTC-ETF от Canary Capital появился на сайте клиринговой корпорации Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC).

Шансы на запуск LTC-ETF растут

Менее чем за сутки шансы на одобрение Litecoin-ETF Комиссией по ценным бумагам и биржам США (SEC) поднялись на 35% до 85%. Причиной стало появление тикера криптофонда на базе LTC в системе DTCC. Ранее такая процедура предшествовала окончательному утверждению заявки на запуск аналогичного инструмента.

«Litecoin-ETF от Canary Capital официально зарегистрирован в системе Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation под тикером LTCC! DTCC играет ключевую роль на мировых финансовых рынках, ежедневно обрабатывая сделки с ценными бумагами на триллионы долларов», — сообщила команда Litecoin Foundation в X (бывш. «Твиттер»).

Представители некоммерческой организации подчеркнули, что появление тикера на сайте DTCC — важный шаг на пути к официальному запуску фонда. Однако это не гарантирует одобрение со стороны SEC, которая пока не приняла окончательного решения.

«Это не значит, что фонд одобрен или скоро его допустят к торговле; тем не менее этот шаг показывает, что эмитент готовится к запуску», — пояснил старший аналитик Bloomberg по ETF Эрик Балчунас.

В конце января Комиссия приняла на рассмотрение заявку Canary Capital. Регулятор открыл предложение для публичного обсуждения, что свидетельствует о том, что предложение компании соответствует начальным требованиям SEC.

В октябре 2024 года Canary Capital стала одной из первых фирм, подавших заявку на запуск Litecoin-ETF. Помимо нее, аналогичный инструмент хотят также запустить Grayscale и CoinShares.

Реакция LTC

Аналитики в целом позитивно настроены касательно возможного утверждения криптофондов на LTC. Некоторые считают, что статус Litecoin как форка биткоина (BTC) и классификации криптовалюты как товара могут значительно повышают шансы появления ETF на базе этого актива.

Оптимизма добавляет и то, что у SEC прежде не было претензий к LTC. Это ставит Litecoin в более выигрышное положение по сравнению с такими активами, как XRP или Solana, которые регулятор считает ценными бумагами.
