According to their estimates, since beginning the sale of its bitcoin reserves seven months ago, the company has already offloaded 7,281 $BTC at an average selling price significantly lower than the average purchase price.
"It appears Trump Media sold another 2,628 $BTC ($165.07M). Trump Media acquired 11,542 $BTC ($1.37B) at an average price of $118,522, and seven months ago began selling the asset, having sold a total of 7,281 $BTC ($545M) at an average price of $74,855," noted Lookonchain analysts.
According to the researchers, the company's unrealized and realized losses on its bitcoin portfolio currently amount to about $555 million.
Portfolio Still Holds Over 9,500 $BTC
According to data from Bitcoin Treasuries, at the time of writing and following the probable sale, Trump Media still holds 9,542 $BTC, valued at approximately $603 million at current prices. This keeps the company the 14th largest public company by corporate reserves in the leading cryptocurrency.

Meanwhile, CoinGecko statistics indicate that:
- the reserve is 9,542 $BTC;
- the average purchase price is about $118,529 per $BTC;
- the current market value of the assets is about $603 million;
- the unrealized loss is estimated at approximately $528 million or 46.7%.
Sales Continue Following Massive Bitcoin Accumulation
The new data from Lookonchain continues the series of major crypto asset movements by the company. Earlier, it was reported that 2,650 $BTC were transferred to the Crypto.com exchange, after which analysts suggested the assets were sold at a loss.
Prior to that, in July 2025, Trump Media announced investments of about $2 billion in bitcoin and related securities as part of its corporate strategy to form a bitcoin reserve. The company stated at the time that crypto assets accounted for roughly two-thirds of its liquid reserves, with another $300 million directed towards acquiring options on bitcoin-related securities.
Against the backdrop of these sales, the cryptocurrency market is in a mixed state. Although bitcoin ended July with a 7.36% gain and Ethereum added 18.5%, analysts have previously noted a drop in bitcoin spot trading volumes to levels not seen since 2023, indicating market caution even despite a reduction in reserves of the leading cryptocurrency on centralized exchanges.
