Bitcoin ETFs Record First Net Inflow Month Since April
In July, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a net inflow of $172.4 million, ending a two-month streak of outflows according to SoSoValue data. This positive result occurred despite a volatile month-end, which saw a $265.4 million outflow on July 31st and a net weekly outflow of $61.53 million. This inflow follows nearly $7 billion in withdrawals over the prior two months, with June alone experiencing a record $4.5 billion net outflow since the ETFs launched in January 2024.
Despite July's gain, the cumulative net outflow for U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs since the start of 2026 remains at approximately $5.29 billion. Only three months in 2026—March, April, and July—have seen inflows, totaling $3.46 billion. Since inception, these products have attracted $51.32 billion in investments, with total net assets reaching $76.29 billion by the end of July.
Spot Ethereum ETFs outperformed in July, posting a net inflow of $365.2 million and marking four consecutive weeks of positive flows. This was their second profitable month of 2026 after April. However, their cumulative net flow for the year is still negative at about $1.1 billion. Other cryptocurrency ETFs also saw inflows, with XRP products attracting $27.3 million (bringing their year-to-date total to ~$343 million) and Solana products receiving $14.6 million.
