The $SOL price forecast points to a narrowing range as price coils within a symmetrical triangle that has been building since June, with the apex now approaching early September. This technical pressure comes against the backdrop of Solana posting two separate leadership metrics this week, leading both Real-World Asset inflows and Decentralized Exchange volume across all tracked blockchains.
Solana Price Analysis: Triangle Apex Approaches as Fibonacci Levels Constrain Range

$SOL is forming a symmetrical triangle from the June low around $60.16, with higher lows on one side and lower highs from the July peak on the other. These two lines are rapidly converging, with the breakout occurring sometime in the first half of September.
Price is currently boxed in between two Fibonacci levels: support at $74.74 and resistance at $79.24. The Parabolic SAR at $77.61 is just above and remains bearish until price closes above it. The 20-day EMA at $75.22 and the 50-day EMA at $75.46 are just below price and have flattened, while the 100-day EMA at $78.01 coincides with the triangle's resistance line, making $77.61 to $79.24 the zone buyers need to overcome.

A breakout above this zone opens the path to $83.75. A breakdown below $74.74 opens $69.17 as the next support.

Solana News: $SOL Leads All Chains in Net RWA Inflows
NEWS: @Solana is now the #1 blockchain by RWA net inflows over the past 30 days. pic.twitter.com/Hj7fdZQfqt
— SolanaFloor (@SolanaFloor) August 17, 2026
Solana ranked first among all blockchains for Real-World Asset inflows over the past 30 days, receiving $254 million as of August 17, according to data provided by SolanaFloor. Stellar came in second with $228 million, while Monad, Base, and Polygon rounded out the top five with smaller but still positive inflows.
The other end of the table looked quite different. Ethereum recorded the largest outflow at $298M, followed by $BNB Chain at $277 million and Provenance at $115 million. Avalanche and Arbitrum also saw money exit, albeit on a smaller scale. The split shows RWA capital actively rotating towards Solana and Stellar while retreating from larger, established chains.

Solana-related ETFs attracted $10 million last week—their strongest week since May, according to data from Wintermute. XRP and Hyperliquid products also saw modest inflows, while selling pressure remained concentrated in Bitcoin funds.
Wintermute noted this aligns with demand for select tokens noted two weeks prior, though cautioned the current size still reflects early interest rather than a confirmed flow trend.
Solana News: $SOL Leads All Networks by DEX Volume, Robinhood Network Debuts in Top Five
Solana leads all chains with $45 billion in monthly DEX volume@solana processed $45.6 billion in DEX spot volume over the past 30 days, topping all chains per DefiLlama data. @BNBCHAIN follows at $38 billion, holding second place after passing Base on monthly volumes in June... pic.twitter.com/ZYzdyRtsDN

Solana recorded $45.6 billion in DEX volume over the past 30 days—the highest among all blockchains, according to DefiLlama data. $BNB Chain held second place at $38 billion after passing Base in June and Ethereum in July. Ethereum slipped to third with $24.2 billion, and Base to fourth with $17.9 billion. Only Solana and $BNB Chain are now handling over $83 billion in monthly spot trading volume, significantly ahead of the rest of the industry.

A big surprise was the debut of Robinhood Chain in fifth place with $14.1B, surpassing Polygon and Hyperliquid's Layer 1s. The network only began broadcasting on July 1 and processed $3.1 billion in its first week, according to Bernstein. It already has over 65,000 users holding roughly $13 million in tokenized equities and $300 million in stablecoins. Bernstein called it central to Robinhood's push into tokenized equities and real-world assets, built on Arbitrum's Layer 2 stack and targeting Robinhood's 27 million funded accounts across more than 120 countries.
| Chain | 30-Day DEX Volume |
| Solana | $45.6B |
| $BNB Chain | $38B |
| Ethereum | $24.2B |
| Base | $17.9B |

$SOL Price Forecast: Upside and Downside Targets
Bull Case, Target: $83.75 (0.618 Fibonacci Level)
$SOL overcomes the resistance zone from $77.61 to $79.24 on a daily close, flipping the Parabolic SAR to bullish and breaking the triangle's descending resistance line. Continued RWA inflow leadership and a growing string of ETF flows provide fundamental backing, while DEX volume leadership solidifies Solana's position as the most active trading chain. A confirmed breakout opens the path to the 0.618 Fibonacci level at $83.75.
Bear Case, Risk Level: $69.17 (0.236 Fibonacci Level)
$SOL loses the triangle's ascending support and the EMA cluster from $74.74 to $75.22 on a daily close, confirming a breakdown from the pattern instead of a breakout. ETF inflows fail to build on last week's improvement and revert to outflows, while broader RWA and DEX volume leadership does little to compensate for weak price action. Price falls towards the 0.236 Fibonacci level at $69.17, revisiting the lower half of the yearly trading range.
Conclusion
Solana's fundamentals and its chart are now telling two different stories, and this gap is something to endure rather than resolve too quickly. The fundamentals are unambiguous: Solana leads all tracked blockchains in both RWA inflows and DEX volume, and the fast start of Robinhood Chain adds another metric to the broader institutional interest growth around the ecosystem.
The chart, in contrast, remains truly undecided—it's a compressing triangle with only a few weeks left to its apex and no clear lean in either direction yet. The zone from $77.61 to $79.24 is where this tension resolves: clear it, and $83.75 comes into range with real fundamental backing; lose the triangle's lower bound, and $69.17 becomes the next real test, no matter how strong Solana's usage metrics are.
