Anthony Scaramucci, founder of the investment firm SkyBridge Capital, has predicted that Bitcoin will demonstrate a strong recovery in the coming years and will once again exceed the level of $100,000 before the next block reward halving, expected in 2028. In an interview, Scaramucci gave an optimistic assessment of Bitcoin's long-term prospects.
Scaramucci, a prominent figure in cryptocurrency markets, stated that changes on the supply side play a significant role in Bitcoin's price dynamics. He specifically noted that the halving mechanism reduces the supply of new bitcoins, creating upward pressure on the price over time, and suggested that the next halving could have a similar effect.
The halving process, which occurs approximately every four years in the Bitcoin network, halves the reward that miners receive for creating a new block. The next halving is expected around April 2028. After this event, the block reward will decrease from the current 3125 $BTC to 1.5625 $BTC. This will lead to a significant reduction in the number of new bitcoins entering the market.
According to Scaramucci, if the supply gradually decreases and institutional interest in Bitcoin persists, the cryptocurrency could once again reach six-figure price levels. Analysts also note that long-term bullish trends for Bitcoin were observed following past halving cycles.
However, experts emphasize that Bitcoin's price depends not only on the halving effect but also on many other factors, such as global economic conditions, interest rate policies, regulatory changes, and investor demand, which also play a crucial role in the market. Despite this, Scaramucci stated that he remains confident in Bitcoin's long-term potential for value growth.
