As of 11:20 Moscow time, the first cryptocurrency is trading around $64.8K. The coin's price has increased by 1.3% over the past 24 hours and is close to its weekly high. It was last at these levels on July 31st.
The total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies increased by 0.9% over the past day to $2.21 trillion. The trading volume during this time amounted to approximately $56 billion.
Ethereum (ETH) appreciated more strongly than Bitcoin, with its price rising by 2.3%. The leading altcoin is trading around $1.9K.
Other coins from the top ten by market capitalization showed mixed movements, changing in price within a 1.5% range. Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies, the Pi token (PI) showed the highest growth over 24 hours—up 6.6%. The strongest decline was for Audiera (BEAT), which fell by 28%.
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded an inflow of $244.4 million at the end of the trading session on August 5th, according to SoSoValue. Inflows have continued for the third consecutive day, bringing a total of $626 million into $BTC funds this week. Ethereum ETFs saw an inflow of $60.8 million yesterday and $103 million this week.
Despite rising prices and ETF inflows, the Crypto Fear & Greed Index fell back into the "extreme fear" zone from the "fear" zone on August 6th. The market sentiment indicator stands at 25 out of 100 points. This suggests that investors are inclined towards active cryptocurrency sales.
Earlier, analysts at K33 saw signs of a local price reversal for the Bitcoin coin in its blockchain. This pattern formed following the hack of popular hardware crypto wallets, which stole over $100 million.
