Cardano and Injective Connect via IBC

Abstract

The Cardano Foundation and Injective have announced the connection of their networks via the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol. The integration, currently operational between Cardano's Preprod testnet and the Injective Testnet, enables the transfer of test $ADA tokens between the two ecosystems. Using IBC, test $ADA tokens are locked on the Cardano network, and an equivalent IBC-wrapped token is minted on Injective. For a reverse transfer, the wrapped token is burned, and the original $ADA are unlocked on Cardano. Cardano is a blockchain focused on smart contracts and decentralized applications, while Injective is a network built for financial applications and markets. This connection paves the way for future use cases where Cardano assets could be utilized within Injective's supported applications, markets, and liquidity protocols.

The Cardano Foundation and Injective have announced the connection of their networks via IBC. The integration is currently live between Cardano Preprod and Injective Testnet, allowing the transfer of test $ADA between the two ecosystems.

IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) is a protocol that allows independent blockchains to exchange assets and verified data. In the current implementation, test $ADA are locked in the Cardano network, and an equivalent IBC token is minted in Injective. When transferred back, this token is burned, and the $ADA are unlocked in Cardano.

Cardano is a blockchain focused on smart contracts and decentralized applications, while Injective is a network built for financial applications and markets. In the future, such a connection could allow the use of Cardano assets in supported applications, markets, and liquidity protocols on Injective.

Related Questions

QWhat is the primary purpose of the recent collaboration between Cardano and Injective?

AThe collaboration aims to connect the Cardano and Injective networks through the IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) protocol, enabling the transfer of test assets between their ecosystems.

QWhich specific networks are currently connected as a result of this integration?

ACurrently, the integration is operational between the Cardano Preprod testnet and the Injective Testnet.

QWhat happens to ADA tokens when they are transferred from Cardano to Injective via IBC?

ATest ADA tokens are locked in the Cardano network, and an equivalent IBC token is minted on the Injective network. To transfer back, the IBC token is burned, and the ADA is unlocked in Cardano.

QWhat are the main focus areas of the Cardano and Injective blockchains respectively?

ACardano is a blockchain focused on smart contracts and decentralized applications (DApps). Injective is a network built specifically for financial applications and markets.

QWhat future potential does the IBC connection between Cardano and Injective enable?

AIn the future, this connection could allow Cardano's assets to be utilized within Injective's supported applications, markets, and liquidity protocols.

Investors Begin to “Change Tables” A notable shift is occurring in China's venture capital landscape. While the hard tech sector, especially AI, experiences a funding frenzy with record-breaking investment rounds, many investors are opting to leave traditional investment firms to join portfolio companies. This movement, termed "changing tables," marks a departure from past downturns where such moves were often a last resort. Currently, the trend is driven by proactive choice. Seasoned investors, including partners and managing directors, are being lured by attractive salaries, equity incentives, and core roles like VP, General Manager, or even co-founder at fast-growing startups in hot sectors like AI, embodied intelligence, and aerospace. This "going ashore" to companies is seen as a strategic career move. The shift is a two-way street. Booming fundraising and feverish investment activity have created intense competition among VCs for a narrow set of "star projects." Simultaneously, these high-flying tech companies, engaged in rapid, multi-round financing, urgently need talent with deep capital market expertise and institutional connections to manage their complex funding needs. Companies like Zhiyuan Robot, MoonDark AI, and MiniMax are actively recruiting from investment firms. For investors, the move also reflects concerns about the sustainability of the current market. Risks like valuation inversion between primary and secondary markets, high IPO破发 rates, increased regulatory scrutiny, and the uncertainty of eventual exits are prompting a reevaluation of the traditional VC path. While this transition offers new opportunities, it is not without challenges. Success requires adapting from evaluating companies to operating within one, focusing on execution over analysis. Nevertheless, this trend underscores the expanding career boundaries and fluidity within China's innovation ecosystem.
