В материале The Block объясняется, что сложность майнинга не измеряется в конкретных единицах. Это относительный показатель, который демонстрирует, насколько труднее сейчас добывать новый блок по сравнению с самым простым периодом в истории. Система автоматически корректирует сложность каждые 2016 блоков, что примерно соответствует двухнедельному интервалу.

Чем выше сложность майнинга, тем больше ресурсов — вычислительной мощности и электроэнергии — требуется майнерам для поиска правильного хеша нового блока. Увеличение этого показателя обычно свидетельствует о росте активности майнеров, тогда как его уменьшение указывает на спад такой активности.

Повышение этого показателя приближает дату халвинга первой криптовалюты, который в последний раз состоялся 20 апреля 2024 года.

Следующий пересчет состоится ориентировочно 2 декабря.
