Major Player Saylor Intensifies Bitcoin Sell-Off: MicroStrategy Announces Another Large-Scale BTC Sale!

Strategy, the world's largest publicly traded holder of Bitcoin, has announced another major sale. Founder Michael Saylor stated the company sold 1,690 BTC for approximately $108.6 million between August 3rd and 9th, at an average price of $64,262 per Bitcoin. This sale marks the fourth consecutive week of selling, bringing Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings down to 840,447 BTC. The company has not purchased any BTC for approximately seven weeks. The stated purpose of the sale is to fund dividends for preferred shares and to repurchase its STRC shares. During the same period, Strategy raised $653.1 million through the sale of MSTR shares, using $109 million of that for the STRC share buyback. Following these actions, Strategy's US dollar reserves have grown to approximately $4.65 billion.
