This sale marks the fourth consecutive week of selling, bringing Strategy's total Bitcoin holdings down to 840,447 BTC. The company has not purchased any BTC for approximately seven weeks. The stated purpose of the sale is to fund dividends for preferred shares and to repurchase its STRC shares. During the same period, Strategy raised $653.1 million through the sale of MSTR shares, using $109 million of that for the STRC share buyback. Following these actions, Strategy's US dollar reserves have grown to approximately $4.65 billion. The company reports this extends the period it can pay dividends using these dollar reserves by 143 days, to a total of 2.7 years. The moves also reportedly reduced the Bitcoin-backed loan burden for STRC by 10 basis points.
