While the income of US President Donald Trump and his family from cryptocurrency investments continues to be discussed in the public sphere, a new Reuters/Ipsos poll has revealed a number of notable results.
According to Reuters agency, the overwhelming majority of Americans believe that Trump's income from cryptocurrency is neither legitimate nor justified.
According to the poll, conducted from August 14th to 17th, 63% of respondents stated that they find it unacceptable that President Donald Trump and his family earned over $1.4 billion from the cryptocurrency business last year.
In contrast, only 32% of participants considered this income acceptable, while the rest did not answer the question.
69% of Americans Believe Trump's Decisions Impact Them!
Another notable result of the Reuters poll was the perception of the connection between Trump's private business interests and his decisions as president.
At present, 69% of poll participants believe that Trump's personal business interests influence his presidential and policy decisions. It is also noteworthy that this opinion is not only held by Democratic voters. Nearly half of Trump-supporting Republicans also believe that the president's business interests influence his decisions.
The White House Denies These Allegations!
However, the White House has rejected claims that Trump's cryptocurrency investments conflict with his presidential duties, stating that his investments are managed by independent financial institutions.
White House press secretary Anna Kelly stated in her declaration: "There is no conflict of interest. The President acts solely in the best interests of the American people."
