Leading South Korean cryptocurrency exchanges Upbit and Bithumb have announced the listing of the token $GEOD on their platforms. According to official statements, Upbit will offer $GEOD in trading pairs with the South Korean Won (KRW), Bitcoin ($BTC), and Tether ($USDT). Bithumb, on the other hand, will initially list the token only in a pair with KRW.
According to the announcements, trading for the $GEOD token on Bithumb is scheduled for 18:00. Upbit will also open trading for the token in three different trading pairs on the same day, offering investors a broader range of trading opportunities. Following the listing decision, increased visibility and liquidity for the $GEOD token on the South Korean market is anticipated.
Upbit and Bithumb are among the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in South Korea by trading volume. Therefore, simultaneous listing on both platforms is considered a significant event for the respective tokens. In particular, Upbit's offering of three different trading pairs – KRW, $BTC, and $USDT – is seen as a step that could facilitate access to $GEOD for both local and international investors.
In the cryptocurrency market, the appearance of new listings on major exchanges is one of the factors that can increase trading volumes for projects and expand the investor base. However, experts emphasize that while listing news may support price movements in the short term, long-term performance still depends on the project's technological development, ecosystem size, user engagement level, and overall market conditions.
Recently, South Korean exchanges have been regularly listing new digital assets, offering their users a wider range of investment opportunities. It is known that Upbit and Bithumb evaluate various factors in the listing process, including the project's technical infrastructure, security, liquidity, and regulatory compliance.
Analysts state that the simultaneous listing of $GEOD on the two largest South Korean exchanges could increase trading volume for the token and contribute to greater brand recognition in the Asian market.
