The US Securities and Exchange Commission has rescinded a long-standing rule that barred settling parties in enforcement actions from denying the agency’s allegations.

The SEC said on Monday it scrapped the rule, adopted in 1972, as it gave the impression that the agency was “trying to shield itself from criticism,” and doing so now aligned it with “the overwhelming majority of federal agencies that do not have a similar rule.”

The Landscape Is Changing for Altcoins: These Are the Ones Developers Have Focused On Most Over the Past Month

Cryptocurrency analytics company Santiment has shared the projects with the most active developer communities in the yield farming sector, based on 30 days of GitHub data.

According to the company's published list, yearn.finance ($YFI) topped the list in terms of developer activity, while Aave ($AAVE) and Gearbox Protocol (GEAR) also stood out in the top rankings.

According to Santiment data, some projects rose in the rankings while others declined compared to last month. Yearn.finance, Gearbox Protocol, Katana, and the Ethereum and Arbitrum versions of SushiSwap stood out in particular, showing increased developer activity.

Strategy has added another massive Bitcoin purchase to its balance sheet, acquiring roughly $2 billion worth of Bitcoin, reinforcing its aggressive accumulation strategy and long-term bullish stance on the asset.

According to reports, the latest buy increases Strategy’s total holdings to hundreds of thousands of BTC, further cementing its position as one of the largest corporate Bitcoin holders in the market.

At the same time, global geopolitical developments are adding fresh momentum to crypto narratives. Iran has reportedly launched a Bitcoin-backed maritime insurance system for shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz, using BTC as a settlement layer for premiums in a move aimed at bypassing traditional financial channels.

The initiative highlights a growing real-world use case for Bitcoin in international trade and logistics, especially in regions facing financial restrictions and sanctions.

Analysts say the combination of institutional accumulation and nation-state adoption narratives is reinforcing Bitcoin’s role as both a macro asset and a geopolitical tool.

Overall, market sentiment remains highly reactive as both corporate and sovereign-level Bitcoin activity continues to shape the broader crypto landscape.
