Илон Маск (Elon Musk) готовится запустить собственный мессенджер X Chat, который составит конкуренцию Telegram и WhatsApp. Миллиардер обещает использовать шифрование, «похожее на биткоин», и не продавать данные пользователей рекламодателям.

Глава X рассказал о новом проекте в подкасте The Joe Rogan Experience. По словам Маска, команда полностью перестроила систему сообщений на платформе X, создав приложение X Chat.

«Мы используем одноранговую систему шифрования, подобно той, что есть у биткоина. Это очень надежное шифрование, которое мы тщательно тестируем», — заявил предприниматель.

Запуск мессенджера ожидается в ближайшие месяцы. Маск подчеркнул, что в приложении не будет «крючков для рекламы», в отличие от конкурентов.

«Это серьезная уязвимость в безопасности. Если сервис знает достаточно информации для показа рекламы, хакеры могут использовать те же самые «крючки» для чтения личных сообщений», — объяснил Маск.

Материнская компания WhatsApp — Meta* — утверждает, что не имеет доступа к личным сообщениям. В FAQ сервиса указано, что сообщения между пользователями защищены сквозным шифрованием по протоколу Signal. Это касается также голосовых сообщений, медиафайлов и документов.

Однако на вопрос о продаже данных пользователей WhatsApp дает уклончивый ответ, объясняя лишь, что «работает с другими компаниями Meta для предоставления, улучшения и поддержки сервисов друг друга».

Обещания без рекламных «крючков»

Маск пообещал, что X Chat будет лишен подобных недостатков. «Я не утверждаю, что система будет идеальной, но наша цель — заменить старую систему личных сообщений Twitter полностью зашифрованной системой. В ней можно будет отправлять текст, файлы, совершать аудио- и видеозвонки», — рассказал он.

По словам предпринимателя, X Chat станет «наименее небезопасным из всех мессенджеров». Приложение будет доступно как часть платформы X, так и в виде отдельного приложения.
