Shiba Eternity has officially rebranded to Shiba Inu Games, as announced on Thursday. The rebranded entity, now operating under the handle @PlayWithShib on X, announced its commitment to deepening its foray into gaming by developing more games for the SHIB ecosystem. This strategic pivot was broadcast via an X post that encouraged followers to stay tuned for updates and developments in the Shiba Inu gaming sphere.

“Hey gamers of Shib, we’re evolving to PlayWithShib! This will be your new go-to place for all things Shib gaming—updates and more. Follow us and be the first to know!” the team expressed through their social media channel. Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, praised the rebranding and the team’s new direction with a tweet: “Such an epic move! Shiba Inu Games (@playwithshib) !!#playwithshib Games Galore and More! LFG.”

The rebranding follows the initial creation of Shiba Eternity in July 2022, which at the time concentrated on the Shiba Eternity game. Launched in October 2022, the mobile game enjoyed a brief period of active engagement on X (formerly Twitter) before entering a prolonged hiatus. The account re-emerged from its dormancy on July 16, 2024, to introduce a closed beta version of the game, making it the first inaugural Shibarium-based game.

Shiba Inu Expands Gaming Offer

Further building on their gaming portfolio, Shiba Inu Games unveiled “Agent Shiboshi” today, a new side-scrolling shooter game that thrusts a Shiba Inu named Shiboshi into the role of a secret agent battling against a group known as the “Shadowcats.” The game introduces an in-game currency system where players can accumulate funds by defeating enemies, which can be used to upgrade their characters’ weapons and gear.

Lucie, the marketing lead of Shiba Inu, conveyed the specifics of the game through an X post: “Agent Shiboshi is an exciting upcoming side-scrolling shooter game developed by Shiba Inu Games. The game stars Shiboshi, a secret agent fighting against the mysterious Shadowcats. Players can earn in-game currency by defeating enemies, which can be used to upgrade their weapons and gear.”

She added that “Agent Shiboshi” is part of the broader Shib ecosystem and its launch is planned initially on traditional web2 platforms, with subsequent versions intended for integration into Shibarium. “Agent Shiboshi is part of the Shib ecosystem and will eventually launch on Shibarium. The game will debut on Web2 platforms, with a Web3 version in the works. Available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for iOS and Android devices,” Lucie revealed.

Earlier in August, she hinted at the release of not just “Agent Shiboshi” but also “Shiboshi Rush,” another game under the Shiba Inu banner. Lucie described these as “hyper-casual games,” emphasizing their design to be straightforward and enjoyable, making them accessible to players across various skill levels.

At press time, SHIB traded at $0.00001350.
