Este conecta los mercados institucionales de Canton con los activos y la actividad comercial en blockchains públicos, permitiendo a los usuarios mover activos tokenizados entre Canton y redes como Ethereum y Solana.

Canton amplía su actividad en tokenización institucional

Esta integración coincide con el aumento de instituciones financieras tradicionales que utilizan Canton para la tokenización de activos y liquidaciones basadas en blockchain.

En julio, la plataforma de negociación electrónica Tradeweb realizó una operación on-chain con bonos del Tesoro de EE.UU., en la que Franklin Templeton transfirió un valor tokenizado del Tesoro a Virtu Financial a cambio de efectivo tokenizado.

Tradeweb aseguró la ejecución y fijación del precio, mientras que Canton sincronizó la liquidación entre los dos activos en tiempo real. Tradeweb afirmó que esta fue la primera compra-venta de bonos del Tesoro de EE.UU. tokenizados en tiempo real, liquidada en USDCx, un stablecoin respaldado por $USDC y emitido en Canton. Otras iniciativas incluyen un proyecto piloto que utiliza bonos del gobierno japonés como garantía, con la participación de Mizuho y Nomura, así como la colocación del índice S&P Dow Jones Indices iBoxx US Treasuries en Canton.
