- Citizen Conflict is giving away a new skin to holders of its “Citizen Zero” NFT.
Web3 gaming continues to grow in 2025, with several projects rolling out updates aimed at keeping players engaged and spending.
Here’s a look at what’s new today from three blockchain-powered titles: Miner Wars, Cambria, and Citizen Conflict.
Miner Wars Gets Competitive
Miner Wars, GoMining’s BTC-mining-themed game, has surpassed 165,000 unique active players and is adding new competitive features with its latest update.
Starting April 22, 2025, the game will ramp up its competitive side with “Clan Leagues .” This will place clans into four different leagues in which they’ll compete for Bitcoin block supremacy, and be promoted/demoted based on their weekly performance.
They’ll also be rolling out “Welcome Packs,” which are supposedly intended to “simplify the onboarding process.” The team explained to CCN that these are starter kits that come packed with pre-configured NFT miners and boosts.
This is to make it even easier for new players to jump straight into the action, without needing to learn the technical parts.
Since launch, players have reportedly spent around $58,000 on in-game purchases. The game currently distributes a prize pool of roughly 1 BTC per day, along with GoMining’s native token, GOMINING.
Cambria Launches New Content
Cambria, a RuneScape-inspired online RPG with risk-based gameplay, is expanding its ongoing “Gold Rush Season 2” event, which has already generated over $1.3 million in purchases, according to founder BEN.ZZZ.
New content includes a World Boss battle, a revamp of the Paymasters hub, updates to the Masteries system, and the addition of a new prestige mechanic.
Also at 11 am ET, the limited-time Dungeon Warfare event will commence. This special event allows players to explore five Gold Ore mining spots placed throughout an “extremely large” dungeon. The event will end once all the ore has been mined.
Citizen Conflict Adds New Skin
One of Web3 gaming’s AAA titles, battle royale shooter “Citizen Conflict,” is releasing a new character skin, available for free to holders of the Citizen Zero NFT.
The game, developed by QORPO Game Studio, has been in early access since 2023 and is available via the Epic Games Store.
While it plays like a conventional third-person shooter, Citizen Conflict also integrates NFTs, letting players mint characters, gear, and other items as tradable digital assets. However, like many Web3 shooters, the crypto layer is largely optional.
