Analysts at Marex emphasize that the key focus right now is not the story, but the levels. According to them, $80K is a major psychological barrier. A clean break and sustained hold above it could open the door to further upside momentum, while a rejection may lead to profit-taking and a return toward the mid-$70K range.
They also note that traders are closely watching whether real spot demand continues to absorb selling pressure, or if recent moves are mainly driven by positioning.
Supportive macro conditions are also playing a role. Global equities remain strong, driven by AI optimism and solid earnings from large tech companies. At the same time, institutional participation in crypto is clearly increasing again.
A major signal of this comes from ETF flows. U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded more than $600 million in inflows in a single day recently, extending a multi-week streak of institutional accumulation totaling over $3.29 billion in two months, according to SoSoValue data.
Even with some short-term outflows earlier in the week, Friday’s strong inflows suggest that larger investors are still buying dips and participating in breakout attempts rather than exiting positions.
Overall, the market is at a critical decision zone—whether Bitcoin converts $80K into support for the next leg up, or continues ranging with short-term volatility. 🚀
