Ripple Implements Aviva's First Tokenized Fund on the XRP Ledger
Ripple and Aviva Investors have launched a tokenized share class for the Aviva Investors USD Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), marking their first live product since their February partnership. This tokenized fund maintains the same investment goals, risk profile, and regulatory protections as its traditional counterpart while utilizing blockchain for issuance and administration.
The Irish structure is supervised by the Central Bank of Ireland, which granted regulatory approval for the tokenized fund class—a reported first for such structures. Qualified investors can hold the shares in digital wallets, with Komainu providing custody and Licuido supplying the blockchain infrastructure.
This launch represents the initial phase of a broader Aviva-Ripple partnership aiming to place regulated fund structures on the XRPL from 2026 onward. It follows the earlier launch of abrdn's dollar liquidity fund on the XRPL, adding another institutional-grade offering. The move highlights XRPL's growing role in tokenized assets, leveraging its low-cost transactions and infrastructure designed for regulated markets.
