The group or individual using the pseudonym Cyberleek has claimed responsibility for a massive data leak of Grand Theft Auto 6. Along with the release of materials, they began promoting a namesake memecoin called CYBERLEEK, claiming that funds from it should help finance their future activities.
A Reddit user under the pseudonym TwoBestFriendsPla reported that fragments of GTA 6 gameplay have appeared online. One shows a character walking away from a house by the ocean and playing basketball. Another shows a player crashing a car into a delivery truck and then assaulting its driver. Cyberleek also published a draft map of the game.
According to information spread by users, these materials might be old footage from approximately a year ago. However, the leak is considered genuine, as Rockstar has begun removing videos as they appear online.
Cyberleek Called the Leaks a Fight for Gamers' Rights
Additionally, Cyberleek published a manifesto criticizing the modern practices of game publishers. The authors stated that companies sell licenses and call it a purchase, release unfinished games as live-service products, block content already present in game files and sell it as DLC, and discontinue support for games while keeping the revenue.
Cyberleek formulated three main demands for publishers:
- Abandon digital pre-orders;
- Stop selling single-player content separately if it is already contained within the game files;
- Ensure the ability to play single-player games without an internet connection.
The authors also threatened publishers with new attacks if their demands are not met. According to them, Cyberleek will not cease its activities until companies make public statements and promise to change their policies. At the same time, the authors emphasized that words alone are not enough—they demand compensation.
Amidst the Leaks, the CYBERLEEK Memecoin Emerged
Parallel to the release of materials, Cyberleek began promoting the CYBERLEEK memecoin. In their manifesto, the authors stated they are raising funds for a secret project. According to them, the money will go towards the infrastructure needed for new attacks, as well as for protection and security to counter potential retaliation from major companies.
The CYBERLEEK token was created on August 15, 2026. Its market capitalization at one point nearly reached $4 million but had dropped below $2 million at the time of preparing this article.

Meanwhile, online discussions already highlight the apparent connection between the leaks and the token's dynamics. In particular, an X (formerly Twitter) user under the pseudonym stitchdegen stated that each new publication by Cyberleek draws attention to the group, and this attention, in turn, may circle back to the CYBERLEEK token.
He also added that the authors announced 2-4 more leaks, which they might use to attempt to sustain interest in the memecoin without constant direct promotion.
There is currently no independent confirmation of who exactly is behind Cyberleek or whether it is an organized group or an individual user.
It is also unconfirmed whether the authors of the leak will actually use funds from CYBERLEEK for the stated purposes. Currently, two narratives are combined: the leak of GTA 6 materials and the launch of a speculative token around this news event.
