18 июня 2025 года эмитент стейблкоина USDT — компания Tether — авторизовал выпуск еще 1 млрд монет в сети Ethereum. Предыдущее пополнение резервов произошло 9 июня, когда был создан аналогичный объем токенов.

Генеральный директор Tether Паоло Ардоино сообщил в X (ранее Twitter), что объем стейблкоинов на Ethereum в настоящее время является авторизованным, но еще не выпущенным. По его словам, эти токены могут быть использованы для будущей эмиссии или свопов между блокчейнами.

Напомним, ранее соучредитель биржи BitMEX Артур Хейс заявил, что будущие IPO эмитентов стейблкоинов будут переоцененными, но в итоге потерпят крах из-за ограниченного доступа к каналам дистрибуции.
