MegaETH Loses Another Key Player! Noise Shifts to Base After Securing Funding from Paradigm
Noise, an early incubated project of MegaETH, has secured a $7.1 million seed round led by Paradigm, with participation from Figment Capital, Anagram, and others. The platform is a trend-trading marketplace where users can long or short contracts based on the popularity of trends, brands, and ideas, using aggregated social activity data from X (formerly Twitter) to create a transparent attention index.
Despite being part of MegaETH’s accelerator program, Noise announced it will launch its mainnet on Base in the coming months, rather than remaining within the MegaETH ecosystem. This move has sparked controversy, with some viewing it as a betrayal, while others argue Base’s larger user base and liquidity may better support Noise’s growth.
This is not the first time a key project has left MegaETH; earlier, DEX GTE also departed after raising significant funding, and stablecoin project Cap adopted a dual-chain strategy prioritizing Ethereum. These exits highlight ongoing challenges for MegaETH in retaining ecosystem projects, though they also underscore its ability to incubate high-potential startups.
