What is Renzo (REZ)

1. Project Introduction
Renzo (REZ) is a liquid restaking token (LRT) and strategy manager designed to promote the use of EigenLayer, thus securing Actively Validated Services and maximizing returns. By allowing users to deposit ETH or wBETH to create ezETH tokens, Renzo streamlines the staking process and eliminates the need for 32 ETH or integration with EigenPods. As a protocol based on the EigenLayer ecosystem, Renzo aims to simplify complex staking mechanisms and facilitate rapid collaboration with EigenLayer node operators and Actively Validated Services (AVS).

2. Team & Investment Info
Renzo's founder Kratik Lodha was the Research & Investments Lead at Woodstock. Renzo’s founding contributor, Lucas Kozinski, has extensive experience in crypto projects such as Moonwell, TokenSoft, and the Tezos Foundation.
Funding: Renzo completed a $17 million funding round on June 18, 2024. Funds were raised in two rounds, with Galaxy Ventures leading the first round and Nova Fund — BH Digital leading the second. Previously, Renzo also received $3.2 million in seed investment from Maven11, Figment Capital, Binance Labs, OKX Ventures, IOSG Ventures, SevenX Ventures, and others.
