Stanley Druckenmiller, the legendary investor behind Duquesne Family Office, is showing increasing interest in the digital asset industry.
According to a Form 13F filed in August 2026, reflecting the investment firm's portfolio for the second quarter, Duquesne reported a significant position in Bitdeer Technologies Group (BTDR) — a global high-performance computing company that manufactures cryptocurrency mining hardware and operates data centers in the US and abroad.
Druckenmiller established this position in Q2, purchasing 4.1 million shares worth over $64.7 million at an average price of $12.26 per share. Bitdeer became one of the largest positions in the billionaire's portfolio, which specializes in artificial intelligence and digital assets.
The company recently released Q2 financial results, showing decreased net and gross losses compared to the previous quarter. Furthermore, Bitdeer recently signed a 16-year, $4.7 billion AI capacity contract for 121 MW at the Tydal campus in Norway, and has begun construction of a facility in Nevada that will produce 10,000 Sealminer units per month by next year.
Druckenmiller's move coincides with actions by Jane Street and Ken Griffin's Citadel, which have also significantly increased their investments in BTDR: the former now owns shares worth over $112 million, acquired almost entirely in the second quarter.
Additionally, Druckenmiller also indirectly invested in the Hyperliquid ecosystem by acquiring 2.9 million shares of Hyperliquid Strategies ($PURR) for $23.1 million.
Hyperliquid Strategies is the largest digital asset management company specializing in $HYPE, with the goal of "providing capital-efficient and productive access to the $HYPE token for U.S. and institutional investors, generating aggregate returns for shareholders that individual holders may not be able to replicate through staking, yield optimization, and active participation in the ecosystem."
$HYPE, the token of Hyperliquid — a decentralized exchange trading all kinds of assets and commodities — recently surged to record highs after President Donald Trump stated that Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chairman Michael Selig "is working to bring Hyperliquid to the United States in full compliance with the law."
As a result, following this news, the price of $PURR also rose more than 20%, benefiting other $PURR investors, including BlackRock, State Street, and Citadel, which, according to hedge fund tracking service Hedgefollow, also increased their positions in $PURR in the second quarter.
