OriginX, a Seoul-based Bitcoin-native company, will host ORIGIN SEOUL 2026 on September 1 and 2 at SKY31 Convention in Lotte World Tower.
The conference will bring together entrepreneurs, developers, investors, analysts, creators and community leaders from 22 countries across Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Oceania. More than 70 companies, media organizations, artists and communities will also participate as partners, connecting different parts of the global Bitcoin ecosystem in Seoul.
OriginX is the company behind Bitcoin House ORIGIN, South Korea’s largest dedicated Bitcoin coworking space. Located in Seoul’s Gangnam district, the space serves as a year-round meeting point for Bitcoin companies, developers, founders and local and international communities. It hosted more than 90 meetups, educational programs, seminars and networking events during the first half of 2026 alone.
ORIGIN SEOUL builds on this permanent infrastructure by bringing OriginX’s year-round community, education and media activities together in a two-day global conference.
Sponsors for ORIGIN SEOUL 2026 include Satori Coin, SmashFi, BASED Trading Cards, Pentabase, Happy Block, INSIDER21 and Bitcoin Native. Global companies and organizations including Checkonchain, Utexo, Ark Labs, Cake Wallet, KaleidoSwap and Fulgur Ventures will also contribute to the program and wider event ecosystem.
MoneyToday, one of South Korea’s leading business and financial media outlets, is the conference’s official media partner. OriginX and MoneyToday also maintain an ongoing content partnership through which interviews and insights from global Bitcoin companies and industry figures are introduced to mainstream Korean audiences.
LifPay will participate as the official merchandise partner, while Timechain Art Magazine and Hero of Bitcoin will join as official partners. Together, more than 70 partners will contribute technology, products, content, art, culture and community experiences to the conference.
From Institutional Adoption to Bitcoin’s Grassroots Reach
Industry Day on September 1 will examine the changing structure of the Bitcoin industry, including institutional investment, a potential Bitcoin ETF market in South Korea, corporate custody, stablecoins, Bitcoin-native finance, AI payments, mining and energy infrastructure.
Participants from Checkonchain, KB Asset Management, Utexo, Fulgur Ventures, Cake Wallet and other financial and technology organizations will discuss how Bitcoin is moving beyond a single asset class and developing into a broader financial and technological ecosystem.
Public Day on September 2 will focus on market analysis, self-custody, adoption and the long-term work of building Bitcoin communities.
James Check, co-founder and lead analyst at Checkonchain, will present “Bear Market Anatomy,” analyzing the 2026 Bitcoin bear market through the lens of onchain data.
Teruko Neriki will deliver “Pushing Adoption in Japan: What Worked and What Didn’t,” sharing lessons from eight years of organizing meetups and conferences, translating books and helping launch a physical Bitcoin hub in Japan.
Bitcoin security expert Kevin Loaec and podcaster and educator Stephan Livera will hold a conversation titled “After Coldcard: Who Do You Trust With Your Bitcoin?” The discussion will examine self-custody, security and the role of trust in protecting Bitcoin.
Ryan Lee, founder and CEO of OriginX, will deliver a keynote titled “The Hard Way,” reflecting on trust, physical space and the long process of building a permanent Bitcoin hub in Seoul.
Public Day will conclude with “How Bitcoin Reaches People,” a panel featuring five women Bitcoiners working across different countries and communities. The session will explore how Bitcoin reaches individuals and local communities beyond its technical and financial foundations.
Bitcoin Events Across Seoul
ORIGIN SEOUL will extend beyond the main conference through 14 official side events held across Seoul.
Beginning August 29, the program will include a seed phrase workshop, a full-day Bitcoin English workshop, a Han River sunset cruise, a riverside chimaek gathering and an RGB–Utexo–KaleidoSwap meetup.
On the morning of September 1, the “Run for Hal” community run will take place at Seokchon Lake. The event honors early Bitcoin contributor Hal Finney while raising awareness of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS.
ORIGIN SEOUL is also connecting with Bitcoin Asia, taking place in Hong Kong on August 27 and 28, to form Bitcoin Asia Week. The initiative links Hong Kong and Seoul through a broader regional journey, with reciprocal access and ticket benefits available to attendees of the two conferences.
“ORIGIN SEOUL is not simply a two-day conference,” said Ryan Lee. “OriginX connects South Korea with the global Bitcoin ecosystem throughout the year through a permanent physical space, community programs, education and media content. The conference is where those relationships come together in one place.”
“Our partners do more than place their names on the event,” Lee added. “Companies contribute technology and products, media organizations create content, and artists and communities add culture and experiences. More than 70 partners are collectively building ORIGIN SEOUL.”
“Through ‘Come for Bitcoin, Stay for Seoul,’ we want people to come to Seoul for Bitcoin, but leave having experienced the city, its culture and the community being built here.”
ORIGIN SEOUL 2026 will take place September 1–2 at SKY31 Convention in Lotte World Tower, Seoul.
