Blackrock's European ETF Quietly Tops $1 Billion BlackRock's European investment product has quietly achieved a massive milestone.

The asset manager's European Bitcoin exchange-traded product (ETP) has accumulated approximately 14,200 Bitcoin. This has pushed its total valuation comfortably past the $1 billion mark.

The iShares Bitcoin ETP is capturing significant institutional interest across the European market.

As of early May, the ETP boasts a Series Value of exactly $1.1 billion. To reach this billion-dollar valuation, the fund has stacked a massive reserve of Bitcoin, reflected in its 142,241,128 securities outstanding.

XRP’s (CRYPTO: $XRP) price has jumped on news that  (OTC: $RKUNY) has launched a new XRP feature in Japan.
 is a Japanese company that runs a shopping rewards platform. It allows users to earn a percentage of their money back when shopping online or in-store at millions of retailers.

The company says that its customers can now convert Rakuten loyalty points into XRP and use the cryptocurrency for payments on its platformRakuten Wallet has also launched XRP spot trading and payment features for users in Japan. The update allows customers to conver loyalty points into XRP via the mobile app.

Users can also use XRP for payments at more than five million merchant locations across Japan. Payments are made through QR codes linked to Rakuten’s retail network.

Rakuten has about 44 million active users, expanding XRP access to a large consumer base.

The Rakuten ecosystem also has more than three trillion loyalty points in circulation. That equals about $23 billion U.S. in points that can now be converted into the XRP crypto.

News of the Rakuten plan sent XRP up about 3% over the weekend to trade at $1.40 U.S.

XRP currently has a market capitalization of $84.42 billion U.S., with 62 billion tokens in circulation.

Terra Classic [LUNC] led the weekly gains with a 35%+ rally. This move also marks four straight weekly bullish closes, raising questions about how strong the continuation trend really is.

On the technical side, LUNC’s RSI sat near 80 as of writing, which points to overbought conditions and suggests the market could cool off if profit-taking picks up and supply increases.

But this week stands out more than the previous ones. As the chart shows, the 35% rally pushed LUNC above the $0.00008 level, which acted as a strong resistance zone in Q4 last year after the October crash.

Psychologically, this puts LUNC in a stronger spot to continue its uptrend into next week.

If the trend holds, the 7.5% intraday pullback may just look like a short-term reset, shaking out weak hands and overextended positions. Bulls already showed strength by absorbing supply pressure twice this week, which supports continued upside and keeps a potential move toward $0.0001 in play.

Why This Proposal Is Crucial For Cardano
The proposal, published on the Momentum Cardano site, frames maintenance as the baseline condition for the rest of the ecosystem. It describes the initiative as “core platform maintenance, support, and operational infrastructure for the Cardano network,” with a scope that runs from Q3 2026 through Q1 2027. The proposal’s treasury ask is ₳62,134,630.

The central argument is not that maintenance is a new feature, but that it is the layer that makes feature delivery possible. The proposal states: “Every proposal in this portfolio depends on one thing: a stable, reliable, operational Cardano network. Maintenance is the foundation everything else is built on.” It adds that Cardano “powers billions of dollars in value and thousands of applications across a global user base,” making continued codebase upkeep, security work and predictable releases a matter of operational stewardship rather than optional spending.
