One thing that has been on my mind lately is how quickly AI is becoming part of our decision making
People use it to research things.
They use it for work.
They even use it to learn things.
Sometimes people use it to make personal choices.
As AI gets more useful it also remembers more about us over time.
At first that sounds like a good thing.
A system that knows your goals, likes and past conversations can give you answers.
It makes me wonder about something that is not talked about often.
What happens when AI remembers more. We have fewer ways to check how that information is being used?
Having a memory makes things convenient.
Verifying information makes us confident.
The future may need both.
Without a memory AI struggles to be truly personalized.
Without verification users have to trust systems they cannot fully understand.
That's why I have been paying attention to @OpenGradient
What stands out to me is the idea that intelligence may become more valuable when it is both persistent and verifiable than just powerful.
I am not sure where the balance will ultimately be.
I do think one of the biggest challenges, in AI will not be making systems smarter.
It may be making them trustworthy as they become a part of our lives.
