1. What Is USDQ?

USDQ is a regulatory-compliant USD stablecoin issued by Quantoz Payments, a Dutch FinTech company. It's 1:1 pegged to fiat USD reserves and functions as an Electronic Money Token (EMT) on the Ethereum blockchain.

It fully adheres to the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). Issued by an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) approved by the Dutch Central Bank (DNB), USDQ stands as one of Europe's pioneering MiCA-compliant stablecoins.

USDQ is designed to support compliant DeFi applications, cross-border payments, Web3 micropayments, and institutional demand for stable assets. It aims to become a core asset in the European regulated stablecoin market.

2. How Does USDQ Work?

Fiat Backing: Each USDQ token is backed 1:1 by U.S. dollar reserves, which are securely held in a Tier 1 bank in segregated accounts.

MiCA Compliance: Quantoz, the issuer, is a duly licensed EMI, ensuring the product fully aligns with EMT regulations.

On-chain Issuance: Initially launched as an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain, USDQ’s availability has since expanded to include Algorand.

Audit & Oversight: The Quantoz Foundation manages all token issuance and redemption processes, which undergo independent audits to ensure greater transparency.

Minting & Redemption: Users who have completed KYC verification can mint or redeem USDQ on a 1:1 basis directly through Quantoz.

3. Who Founded Quantoz N.V.?

Quantoz N.V. is a Dutch FinTech company founded in 2015. Its subsidiary, Quantoz Payments, was established in 2021 to issue USDQ, a USD-backed EMT, as well as EURQ and EURD, two EUR-backed EMTs available throughout the European Economic Area. The company is licensed as an EMI by the Dutch Central Bank (DNB). All funds received in exchange for these tokens are held by Stichting Quantoz, a bankruptcy-remote entity that safeguards the assets in compliance with MiCAR regulations.

Nick Haasnoot has served as CEO of Quantoz Blockchain Technology since 2019. He also contributes as a part-time director at happyCOINS and as a supervisory board member at Attenza. Previously, he worked full-time at Regas for 10 years and was a consultant at Finch & Beak for 9 years, starting in 2010.

Arnoud Star Busmann is the CEO of Quantoz Payments. In addition, he is a co-founder of Kendo Digital and a partner at T3i Partner Network, while also serving as a strategic advisor for Stonyridge. Prior to this, he was the President and CEO of Minehub Technologies, a B2B platform focused on digitizing the global mining and metals supply chain.   Funding & Partners:
