Pump.fun is a token issuance and trading platform based on Solana, focusing on low-barrier, permissionless meme coin launches. Users can create, issue, and trade new tokens on the platform without needing to write smart contracts. PUMP is the official token of the pump.fun ecosystem, and the version listed on HTX corresponds to the Solana version of this project.

2. Operating Mechanism

Pump.fun utilizes a bonding curve mechanism to provide initial pricing and a trading market for new coins. Once tokens reach a predefined stage, they are migrated to PumpSwap, where they gain more comprehensive liquidity support. While PUMP is the official utility coin for pump.fun and swap.pump.fun, the platform itself maintains a permissionless model. Users are not required to hold PUMP beforehand to create or trade tokens on the platform.

According to publicly available information, Alon Cohen and Sapijiju are the co-founders of the project. In its early stage, Pump.fun focused primarily on product expansion and community growth.
