1. What Is Fluent?

Fluent is a blended execution network operating as an Ethereum Layer 2 zk-rollup, built upon the rWasm unified execution environment. It seamlessly integrates EVM, Wasm (and will soon support SVM) smart contracts into a single shared state machine. This enables atomic, real-time composability without the need for bridging or friction, allowing users to access the entire ecosystem with a single wallet. Fluent is dedicated to creating reputation-centric applications. Through Prints (reputation signals) and the Fluent Connect mechanism, it enables developers to create applications with 10x productivity, while directly integrating social and on-chain reputation into the protocol layer.

2. How Does Fluent Operate?

At the execution layer, Fluent uses rWasm (a subset of Wasm optimized for zero-knowledge proofs) as its core virtual machine. It "emulates" and compiles the behaviors of different VMs—such as EVM, Wasm, and SVM—into rWasm execution. All contracts share the same state trie, facilitating atomic and synchronous cross-VM calls.The network utilizes a zk-rollup architecture, with proofs provided by a zkVM, and employs FluentBFT as its consensus mechanism.

For bridging, it uses standardized gateways like the ERC20Gateway, supporting native transfers of ETH and ERC-20 assets.

Developers can rapidly deploy hybrid applications using the Fluentbase SDK and the gblend CLI tool.

3. Who Created Fluent?

Fluent is developed by Fluent Labs and governed jointly by the Fluent Foundation and Fluent (BVI) Ltd. The CEO is Dino, who is the Co-founder and CEO of Fluent Labs. The CTO is Dmitrii Savonin. 4. Fluent Tokenomics

The native token of Fluent is $BLEND, with an initial total supply of 1 billion tokens and no additional minting. A portion of network fees is used to buy back and burn $BLEND from the market, creating a deflationary mechanism.
