1. Project Introduction
Beacon ETH (BETH) is a tokenized representation of staked ETH on Ethereum 2.0’s Beacon Chain. ETH 2.0 is a multi-phase upgrade of the Ethereum network, with Phase 0 introducing the Beacon Chain—a new PoS-based blockchain that coordinates validator activity and manages network consensus. Validators must stake 32 ETH to participate and receive BETH in return. BETH accrues staking rewards and can be redeemed for ETH at a 1:1 ratio once Ethereum 2.0 merges with the mainnet and withdrawals are enabled. BETH represents a liquid staking derivative tied to validator performance on the Beacon Chain.
