Lithic and Lightspark Launch USDC-Based Payment Cards

Lithic, a card issuance platform, and Lightspark, a developer of infrastructure for international money transfers, have launched a joint product on the Visa network. Issued by Lead Bank, the cards will settle transactions in USD Coin (USDC). The USDC settlement mechanism is built directly into the Lightspark platform. Users' funds are held in the stablecoin and are automatically converted to local currency at the point of sale. This allows the new product to utilize the same settlement infrastructure as the company's wider payment network. Lithic will handle transaction processing through its Authorization Intelligence system, which combines payment authorization, device verification, and fraud protection into a single programmable infrastructure.
