BitMine Immersion Technologies, led by Tom Lee, continued its sustained accumulation of Ethereum last week, purchasing 32,447 ETH. The company has now been buying ETH weekly for about 14 months, since launching its treasury reserve strategy in June 2025. Its total holdings have reached 5.85 million ETH, representing roughly 4.8% of Ethereum's circulating supply and nearing its stated goal of 5%. The firm has also staked 5.07 million ETH, approximately 87% of its assets. The latest purchase coincided with a sharp market-wide rally. ETH surged over 32% after the US Treasury announced plans to increase its monthly purchases of long-term bonds, pushing the price above $2,500 for the first time since January. This price recovery has significantly reduced BitMine's substantial paper losses on its $19.5+ billion ETH treasury investment. These losses have narrowed to under $5 billion from over $8.4 billion just a week ago. Meanwhile, BitMine's stock on the NYSE has risen nearly 28% over the past six months.

Bitmine Immersion Technologies, led by Tom Li, continued to accumulate ether last week, increasing its reserves amid a sharp rally in the cryptocurrency following an extended downturn.

On Monday, the company announced the purchase of 32,447 $ETH last week. Its total assets now reach 5,847,611 $ETH — approximately 4.8% of Ethereum's circulating supply. Bitmine has bought $ETH every week since launching its Ethereum treasury reserve strategy on June 30, 2025. This buying spree has now lasted for about 14 months.

The company's shares on the NYSE rose roughly 8.7% at the start of the week, bringing gains over the past six months to nearly 28%.

Bitmine is 97% of the way toward its stated goal of owning 5% of the $ETH supply. The company has also staked 5.07 million $ETH — about 87% of its assets — and reported a total portfolio of cryptocurrencies, cash, securities, and other investments worth $14.9 billion.

The latest purchase coincided with a sharp rally in ether and the broader crypto market. $ETH has been outperforming Bitcoin since last Wednesday, when the U.S. Treasury Department announced plans to double its monthly purchases of certain long-term U.S. Treasury bonds — from $2 billion to $4 billion — starting next month.

According to CoinMarketCap, since the announcement, ether has surged more than 32% and risen above $2,500 for the first time since January.

Ether Price Recovery Cuts Bitmine's Paper Losses

Bitmine's aggressive ether purchases during the market downturn led to significant unrealized losses as the price of $ETH continued to fall. The recent cryptocurrency recovery has substantially reduced this deficit.

According to DropsTab, Bitmine has invested over $19.5 billion in its ether treasury reserves. The company's paper losses have now narrowed to less than $5 billion, compared to more than $8.4 billion roughly a week ago.

PeaqOS and World ID Integrate ZK Proofs into Autonomous Robots

The integration of PeaqOS and World ID now allows autonomous machines to verify they are interacting with real, unique individuals without collecting names, photos, or other personal data. This update, available via robotic.sh, enables connected devices to directly request and verify World ID proofs. The system leverages zero-knowledge technology, letting a person prove they are human while maintaining the privacy of their identity. This addresses a key challenge for operators of delivery robots, shared machines, and autonomous systems: how to authenticate a user as genuine without relying on insecure PINs, pickup codes, or traditional identity checks that require personal data collection. Instead of obtaining identifying information, a device receives a cryptographic proof that the user is a real person. PeaqOS acts as a coordination layer, allowing devices to utilize World ID via decentralized identifiers and a device marketplace. A robot can request verification, receive a zero-knowledge proof, and register an auditable record of the interaction—all without exposing underlying personal data. The system also supports uniqueness verification, enabling machines to enforce rules like "one item per person" without maintaining user identity databases. A demonstrated use case involves autonomous medicine delivery: a patient verifies via the World App when placing an order, a pharmacist verifies before loading the medication, and the patient verifies again upon delivery so the robot can confirm the recipient is linked to the order before unlocking the compartment. Similarly, promotional robots could ensure one item per person, and shared vending machines could grant access to verified individuals without requiring accounts or personal data. This integration for PeaqOS-powered robots and devices minimizes the identity information collected or stored while allowing autonomous systems to confirm they are interacting with real humans.
