John Daghita, a former U.S. government contractor, was arrested in Saint Martin in a joint U.S.-French operation for allegedly stealing over $46 million in Bitcoin from the U.S. Marshals Service. He worked for a company that managed seized digital assets for the government. Authorities found cash and USB drives in his possession. The arrest follows another recent crypto crime case in Arizona, where two teens were arrested for a violent home invasion linked to a $66 million cryptocurrency plot. Bitcoin traded at $70,919 after a 3.5% retracement.
