Leading crypto market maker Wintermute has increased its total short positions on Hyperliquid to $211.53 million. Notably, while expanding its overall shorts, it nearly halved its specific short position on $HYPE from $11.43 million to $5.60 million.
The breakdown of Wintermute's major short positions is: Bitcoin (BTC) at $70.80 million, Ethereum (ETH) at $53.83 million, Solana (SOL) at $17.63 million, followed by XRP, Dogecoin (DOGE), Hyperliquid (HYPE), Pump.fun (PUMP), and Ethereum (ENA).
Wintermute's total perpetual open interest is approximately $217.49 million, with $211.53 million in shorts and $5.96 million in longs. The company currently has roughly $4.12 million in unrealized losses from these positions, while having earned approximately $2.27 million in funding fee revenue.
