Gemini cryptocurrency forecasts is bringing to a broader market: the company has reached an agreement with Apex Fintech Solutions to distribute regulated cryptocurrency event contracts to clients of brokerage firms.

Key Points of the Gemini and Apex Deal
- Gemini and Apex have signed a letter of intent to expand broker access to cryptocurrency prediction markets.
- Gemini will handle trade execution and clearing, so brokerage companies won't need to build direct infrastructure to connect to the prediction market exchange.
- The agreement strengthens Gemini's position in the regulated segment after receiving CFTC approvals for trading and clearing.
Under the terms of the planned agreement, Gemini's subsidiary Gemini Titan will become the exclusive regulated platform for crypto event contracts, which Apex will distribute to its brokerage clients through its Futures Commission Merchant.
In this context, Gemini (cryptocurrency exchange) acts not just as a crypto platform, but as an infrastructure provider for brokers who need access to a new class of trading products. Cryptocurrency remains one of the key topics for such contracts, alongside sports and politics.
An FCM, or Futures Commission Merchant, is a regulated organization that accepts and processes client orders and handles client funds when trading futures and other derivatives.
How the New Scheme Will Work
Gemini will be responsible for the execution and clearing aspects of the operations. For brokerage companies using Apex, this means a simpler path to launching event contracts related to cryptocurrencies: they won't need to independently create connections to specialized exchange infrastructure.
This format could significantly expand Gemini's reach. Crypto companies are increasingly competing for a place in the prediction contract market, where users trade the outcomes of real-world events. For investors accustomed to tracking asset prices, liquidity, and metrics like market capitalization, prediction markets are becoming another way to express expectations about important events.
Prediction markets have grown sharply over the past year. According to Pew Research Center data, the trend on leading platforms Kalshi and Polymarket looked like this:
- Kalshi and Polymarket, September 2025: less than $5 billion USD in monthly trading volume.
- Kalshi and Polymarket, April: nearly $24 billion USD in monthly trading volume.
Demand is concentrated around several major areas:
- Sports.
- Politics.
- Cryptocurrencies.
It is precisely these categories that are helping event contracts gradually transition from a niche format to a more familiar tool for traders.
Regulated Infrastructure in the USA
Gemini has been building the foundation necessary to compete in the US prediction market for several months. In December 2025, Gemini Titan received permission from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to operate as a designated contract market. This allows it to operate a regulated derivatives exchange and offer trading in prediction contracts.
In April, another subsidiary, Gemini Olympus, received derivatives clearing organization status from the CFTC. This enables Gemini to conduct clearing and settlement for Gemini Titan's operations within its own structure.
On the future of prediction contracts, Tyler Winklevoss briefly stated:
We believe that prediction markets are the future of markets.
The deal with Apex continues an existing partnership between the two companies. In July, Gemini launched commission-free stock trading for some US clients, with Apex Clearing Corporation acting as custodian and clearing broker.
The companies expect to finalize the details of their cooperation on prediction markets in the coming weeks.
Artificial Intelligence and Command Center
In May, Gemini introduced Command Center — an intelligent layer based on artificial intelligence for its prediction market platform. It is important not to confuse this with Gemini (the chatbot): here we are talking about features within the Gemini trading application.
Command Center integrates SpaceXAI models into the Gemini app. The system is designed to display real-time market summaries, analyze sentiment, and generate personalized signals based on a user's portfolio and trading activity.
