This testnet addresses the core challenge of whether Bitcoin can act as the ultimate arbiter for off-chain computations, ensuring security and trust in extreme scenarios like attacks or system failures. Unlike existing Bitcoin L2 solutions that depend on trusted bridges, honest majority assumptions, or external chain settlements, GOAT’s approach leverages BitVM2 technology.
