В российской республике Ингушетия нелегальные майнинговые фермы за первые шесть месяцев года похитили электроэнергии почти на 350 млн рублей, сообщила межрегиональная распределительная сетевая компания «Россети Северный Кавказ».

В январе — июне специалисты филиала «Ингушэнерго» выявили 177 случаев использования электроэнергии для майнинга криптовалют. Общий объем неучтенного потребления электричества «Россети» оценили в 37,5 млн кВтч.

Около 94%, 35,4 млн кВтч или 347,5 млн рублей, пришлось на четыре крупные подпольные майнинг-фермы, рассказали энергетики. По их словам, полицейские изъяли у майнеров 450 устройств для добычи криптовалюты.

С 1 января российское правительство ввело полный запрет на майнинг в нескольких регионах страны, включая Ингушетию и Дагестан. Однако добыча криптовалют продолжается, рассказывают северокавказские энергетики.

Заниматься майнингом цифровых активов в большинстве других регионов России можно только под контролем государства. Майнить имеют право юридические лица и индивидуальные предприниматели, зарегистрированные в специальном реестре Федеральной налоговой службы (ФНС), а также физлица в пределах лимита 6000 кВтч в месяц. С 30 июля российские власти утвердили правила передачи сведений о майнерах в ФНС операторами дата-центров.

Ранее в российском правительстве заявили, что Министерству энергетики поручено представить предложения об усилении наказания за незаконное присоединение к электросетям, хищения и нарушение запрета на майнинг цифровых активов.
